Surf legend Gerry Lopez shows Burton some love

Legendary surfer Gerry Lopez, a resident of Bend, Oregon now for many years, has long been a supporter of Burton gear. He recently went riding with JG, and sent us a note this week to let us know what he thinks of the company. We are super stoked so we thought we'd share his testimonial.
Throughout the history of sports, there have been sporting equipment companies who, because of the quality, service or outstanding performance of their gear, become iconic figures in their particular sports. In the relatively young sport of snowboarding, one company has stood head and shoulders above the rest. Burton Snowboards has, in my opinion, never made anything halfway or even slightly inferior. This is a strong statement especially for a manufacturer who produces thousands of products each season. Any model snowboard, bindings, boots, apparel, everything down to the smallest screwdriver is first class, top of the line. This kind of track record is unparalleled and is even more exemplary for the fact that the Burton line of equipment continues to be cutting edge, innovative and constantly improving year after year. I’m pretty stoked to ride their stuff, find myself just getting it dialed in when they come out with something even better … how do you keep up with a company like that? Just keep riding I guess.
Aloha……gerry lopez
