The band always stops into the NYC and Chicago Burton Flagship stores while on their Summer tours, and they wanted to see the LA store this time around...Check out drummer Murph's Burton tee, which he wears during their appearance on a highly rated episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon a few weeks ago where Tiger Woods and Evan Rachel Wood were also guests...0h, and hit the tab at the bottom of the segment that has Dinosaur Jr.'s lead singer J Mascis' face on it if you don't want to watch the entire episode."

Mix Master Mike and K'Naan Tour With Burton

Beastie Boy DJ and world champion turntablist, Mix Master Mike swung by Burton LA to grab some luggage before embarking on a world tour in September. Additionally, it seems like other acts touring with Burton luggage caught the eye of hip-hop artist K'Naan and his crew who mentioned he'd heard that Burton luggage was the "musician's choice."

Beastie Boys Wear Anon on 'Late Night...'

It's an honor for any up and coming music act to perform on a late night show. Like the Beastie Boys, to be so recognizable that you appear on Late Night With Conan O'Brien as the brunt of Triumph the Insult Dog's jokes is even bigger. Even more important for a brand like Anon is the fact that both Mike D and Ad-Rock were wearing the Rufus and Crusher styles during the clip!

Santigold and Trouble pack for the road with Burton luggage

Before heading out to the west coast for shows that included a stop at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in LA, Santigold and Trouble stopped by the NYC Flagship store to pick up some travel gear that included Burton, Analog, ANON and Gravis goods.

Burton Bag in "Land of the Lost"

The new Will Ferrell, Anna Friel (of the hit t.v. Show “Pushing Daisies”) film version of Land of the Lost, which has grossed 44 mil at the box office so far this summer, depicts the lead characters traveling through time. Without a change of clothes throughout most of the film, Anna Friel’s Burton backpack got many close-ups. Check out the screen shots below.

Tommie Sunshine Travels With Burton, Now an Anon Guy

Traveling most of the year, producer/DJ Tommie Sunshine understands the need for good luggage as much as anyone. When we caught up with him this year at SXSW his current luggage was on the verge of disintegration so we made it a point to bring him through the New York store before the annual showroom event. He not only picked up a luggage set before flying out that night to play a show in Portland, but he also copped a pair of Anon sunglasses he said he'll wear as part of the 'Sunshine ensemble' during future gigs.

Roll Out: Friends of Burton Relay Message to Cohort, “Buy Burton!”

We can only imagine the conversations artists have with their cohorts after copping a few pieces of luggage, or any other Burton-related products for that matter. For the sake of simplicity, we assume they’d simply ask, “Jealous much?!” to any friends frothing at the mouth for new gear. We know now that they sprint to their closest Burton store and make it a point to purchase something from the latest season.

For the past few years we’ve made sure that Burton enthusiasts who also happen to be musicians, artists, DJs, producers, directors and actors stay up to speed on what’s in the current line, making sure that they’re updating their snowboarding gear and carrying our luggage on tour.

We just heard from the LA Flagship store that those friends are telling their friends to purchase Burton luggage, apparel and gear for their summer tours too. Top tier talented people who travel all over the globe are backing our products and we couldn’t be more stoked.

Lindsay Lohan was snapped requiring assistance with her luggage as she headed for a trip to Paris. A girl with as extensive a wardrobe as Lilo knows all too well the importance of good luggage to transport your prized possessions, which explains just why she opted for Burton.

Take Me To Your Leader: LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy Recruits Burton Followers

James Murphy, LCD Soundsystem's front man, producer, DJ and all around nice guy took time out of his busy schedule while recording the band's third full-length this spring to spend the day at Burton LA. Between playing with the shop hounds, Blue and Bella, he shared some stories of trying his first snowboard, the Terje Haakonsen pro model donning the wooden sword which he still rides today. Murphy and fellow DJ/producer Matt Cash left with some polka-dotted Double Decks to complement their seemingly cultish, all-white garb. Hints of starting a larger Burton following in the music community were mentioned. We couldn't think of a better leader.

Travelin' Man: Diplo Leaves Town With Burton

Ever since Diplo produced M.I.A.'s first, um, album, Piracy Funds Terrorism he's been touring non-stop and remixing everyone from The Black Lips to dubstep superstar Caspa. He stopped through the Los Angeles Burton store while wrapping up a quick West coast promo tour for Major Lazer, his latest project with friend and fellow golden boy, Switch. Diplo's favorite piece of luggage was the Liquid Lounger which he picked up along with a Cargo and even a Burton belt before heading to London for the month. On a side note, note the frames. He walked in wearing a pair of Anon sunglasses which he snatched from a friend and grabbed another pair in tortoise because he wanted two pair of "favorite sunglasses."

DJ Z-Trip a Burton Fan for Life

It turns out that a little care goes a long way. After picking up some gear at the LA store this winter, the world-famous DJ Z-Trip was treated to some one-on-one Burton guidance and it's made him a fan for life. He's even planning on heading to South America to chase winter after the last patches melt in the US next month. It's no surprise that Animal Collective's 'My Girls'sat perched atop KCRW's best of list for weeks on end and was the obvious choice for Jake Johnson's part in Alien Workshop's most recent visual offering, Mind Field. Next week the band embark on a lengthy tour to promote their latest album Merriweather Post Pavillion with Burton Wheelie Flight Decks in tow.

Last Call with Carson Daly films 13 segments at Burton L.A. Flagship Store

NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly" stopped by the Burton/Channel Islands LA Flagship store this month to film some clips for the show with Carson. "Last Call" is shot in a documentary-style format out in the streets instead of the traditional talk show in-studio set-up. The Burton/Channel Islands store was featured in 2 nights of shows for a total of 13 different segments! When you check them out, keep in mind that they seem redundant when you watch them back-to-back like this, but they looked really good when spread out throughout the entire show for 2 nights! Enjoy!
