(EU) Chill Innsbruck Finished
Last Saturday the European Chill program in Innsbruck ended with the fourth and last riding day. Afterwards, volunteers and kids gathered in a restaurant for a pasta party.
This is what Lorenz Kerer, director of the BIWAK project (one of the agencies we worked with) had to say about Chill: "Chill involves kids in sports who otherwiese would not even dream about it. After a day on the mountain our kids returned home exhausted but with big smiles on their faces. They tell positive stories of their day for hours on end. Chill makes the kids discover skills that make them feel proud. These are valuable experiences that will last long after the program has ended."
Check out this shortened version of a slideshow that was screened on the last night - and imagine lots of hugs, laughter, and smiles to go with it...

WLTR Camp at COP
Calgary provided unseasonably warm weather for the Burton Women’s Progression Camp this past weekend at Canada Olympic Park.
Everyone had a blast with the wonderful female instructors and the small group sizes. It was a "fun environment to learn in, everyone in the group was super supportive of each other and no one felt intimidated."
The weekend camp allowed all participants to dial their skills in a comfortable, supportive environment with other women of their ability level. 46 women came out with a range of abilities from first time riders to those ready to hit the park features.
A group of girlfriends noticing the information on the Burton website made the trek from Saskatchewan (8 hours away) to gain more confidence on their boards. "We are so happy we found this camp on the Burton Website, we drove all the way from Saskatoon (Sask) to take part. Sooo worth the drive and would do it again in a heart beat."
Each day wrapped up with hugs, smiles, exchange of contact information to go riding together and of course the wonderful goodie bags.
